Josep Padró i Margó is a son of Colònia Güell. He has studied the history of this urban center and has published research papers on its origins, the collectivization carried out during the Civil War, the Franco regime and the Ateneu Unió. He has been linked to the cultural and neighborhood movement of Santa Coloma de Cervelló, especially in Colonia Güell, and is currently part of the board of the Baix Llobregat Center for Regional Studies, through which he participated in the organization of the exhibition The roar of industry, about the industrialization of the region. He is a school teacher and teacher of geography and history in secondary education. In this field, he has published social science textbooks, workbooks and didactic guides on the Baix Llobregat, the Ebro delta and Pallars Sobirà.
