Biography

Architect (1963) and doctor (1968) from the Barcelona School of Architecture, of which he was director between 1980 and 1984, and, in addition, director of the Department of Architectural Projects (1985-1992). He has been president of the International Association of Anthropology of Space (1988), president of the International Association of Semiotics of Space (2000-2006) and of Action Cost C2 of the European Commission (1988-1999).1 He is a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi since 2003. He has been a visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley (1970-1973 and 1984-1988). He is currently an academic and editor of the magazine Arquitectonics: Mind, Land, Society and a professor at Plataforma Formación.
