Biography
Alejandro Aguilera González is a prominent Mexican architect and professor known for his innovative residential projects and contributions to architectural education. He co-founded the architecture firm ArquitectónicA with Cecilia Yarmuch. One of their notable projects is the Black House (Casa Negra) in Coatepec, Mexico, completed in 2020. This project emphasizes a harmonious integration with nature, featuring a design that allows the house to coexist with the surrounding forest without disturbing the trees, facilitating cross-ventilation and promoting environmental sustainability. In addition to his architectural practice, Aguilera has a significant presence in academia. He is currently an assistant professor at the Texas A&M University School of Architecture. His academic focus includes design studio and visual arts, contributing to the development of future architects through his teaching and mentorship
